NTT Com Asia buys APT Satellite from Singsat and Skywork

NTT Com Asia, the affiliate of Japan-based communications carrier NTT Communications, has bought APT Satellite Telecommunications from Singasat and Skywork for nearly $21 million in order to expand the firm's Tai Po Data Centre. APTT delivers satellite communication services, transponder utilization services as well as satellite television broadband services to telecom service providers in Europe, Asia Pacific and the US. NTT Com Asia is likely to transfer APT to another affiliate of NTT Communications, NTT Worldwide Telecommunications, which runs the company's data center globally.
