It seems that a recent building is chromium support for Greasemonkey - a very popular, and previously only Firefox browser plugin. Greasemonkey can be used by developers to make a lot of useful things such as the creation of math, the creation of themes, and the setting of the annoying problems on the websites without having to wait for the website owner to take his do it for you. Google still has not provided a way for developers to create plugins for chrome, because doing so would open a Pandora's box with regard to security goes. Greasemonkey is an interesting addition to support because developers can now do essentially a plugin that works for specific sites instead of allowing global "browser-level" plugins.
Of course, Google has a day to allow the development of plugins world, but this is an important first step in the right direction.
