HP announces iPaq Voice Messenger and iPaq Data Messenger handsets

The smartphone market is no longer limited to a handful of corporate executives stressed. We ordinary folk need for instant access to our e-mail at any time, be able to change our state of Facebook if the bus is thirty seconds late Twitter and our friends if we pass a stool especially impressive in the morning. Good, that might not last.

Now HP wants a benefit of consumers smartphone foot. Any kind. They do not want any riff-Raff mind, is aimed at "prosumers", which is the HP cunning mixture of "professionals" and "consumer". Therefore, it is presumed to ordinary people, businessmen or simply lazy.

Anyway, I suppose that if you fall into this category, HP has a treatment for you. Has announced the iPaq Voice Messenger and Windows Messenger iPaq data, two Windows Mobile smartphones to bring a robust set of features and specifications list to the table. They are not bad than good.

The Messenger of data is the most impressive of the two. To begin with a 2.8 "QVGA touch-screen interface, as well as WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and quad-band GSM connections. 3.5G data connections are available, but it is also available only in tri-band.

Why not just use because there is work also has a 3.1 megapixel camera and a MicroSD slot for storing hours of self-motivation on the tape.

Compared with most of the terminals and BlackBerry iPhone is a little too much for the beast to 17.4 x 114.5 x 57mm - which is approximately the same size as a Nokia N96, so it is not difficult to manage, and packs a full QWERTY keyboard with a low slider. As expected, the touch screen is still very much on a stick, which clearly steps on the back.

The only other feature that really is a slider, which is used to mute the phone at the time of passage, when in a meeting. Lunch or power, if you prefer.

The iPaq Voice Messenger is basically more of the same, only with a sliding keyboard and touch screen are not. Like the Messenger of data that sports a five-Optical Mouse / button on your browser. Apart from that, it's the same all the specifications of form and very little to write home about.

These really are not the most exciting smartphones we've ever seen, but if you're hell bent on getting a phone WinME, you could do worse. Both are due out in November SIM free. Messenger will establish a database of around £ 399, while the Voice Messenger will cost £ 333.
